No longer strangers.

Ephesians 2v19-22
So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.

We are no longer strangers but co heirs to the kingdom of God through Christ. That is something worth getting excited over!

His Will.

Ephesians 1v7-10
In him (Jesus) we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.

We sometimes tend to focus heavily on the “what is Gods will for my life,” question and this verse answers emphatically. Gods will has always been to bring together all He has made on this earth to His heavenly kingdom; if we focus our lives around doing that, bringing His glory to all around us, showing His love we will be doing His will and each of us in a unique matter through the talents He has given to us. We are in His will when we are bringing His kingdom to earth, let us focus on that and in faith let God take care of the rest.

Heart's Desire.

Psalm 37v4-6
Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.

This is a great and comforting verse. I especially love how there are two parts to this verse that work as one. For the lord to give us the desires of our heart we must delight ourselves in the Lord, finding complete happiness and fulfillment in Him. When that happens our heart becomes His heart and our desires His which He will carry out faithfully. Let us find complete joy in Him and be transformed into everything He wants for us.

No Division Necessary.

Galatians 3v27-29
For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.

All are one in Christ. No division is necessary when we are all distinguished by the same savior. We need to throw our fleshful earthly differences aside and glorify our God, the same God as a body of one to change His world in a powerful way.

Every Part.

Galatians 2v20
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Jesus took every part of us when we received him as savior. We are no longer on our own, fending for ourselves in this world. We have the power that healed the sick and raised the dead with us. So in this truth let us live powerfully with a life worthy of being called a man or woman of Christ.

Approval

Galatians 1v10
For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Let this remind us today that we need only to seek to please God. As we become Christ followers we are no longer slaves to the world and it’s expectations. Rather we are subject to God who is guiding our steps through this life on a unique and powerful journey, bringing His glory upon the earth.
