John 9v23 23 Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. 24 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. 25 What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self? 26 Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.

To deny ourselves and heed to the Spirit every day giving our every thought and being to the cause of Christ no matter what. This is being a Christ follower.

1 John 4v4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

The Spirit of Christ that is in us is greater than the enemy that is in the world. For Christ conquered death and gave that power, promise and hope to all us who profess His name. Let us live big, powerful and meaningful lives knowing what the world throws on our plate can not defeat the Spirit inside of us. PTL for the blood and water spilled to wash us clean. The heart broken to mend and strengthen every broken heart that comes to Him. It’s all because of Jesus that we are truly alive.

John 4v13 “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

Jesus is saying this to a Samaritan woman as she comes to draw water from the well of Jacob. He proclaims that this physical water will never be enough but the cleansing water of the Holy Spirit which has been poured from the broken body of Christ will quench all thirst and bring us to a life eternal. So let us drink and fill our spirit to overflow the righteousness and light that Christ has given us through the cross.

1 Corinthians 15v55 55 “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” 56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Let nothing move you. Stand firm upon the faith in Christ that even death isn’t a defeat, for Christ will return for his people who are asleep and will call them up for ETERNAL glory!

2 Corinthians 4v7 7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 11 For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body. 12 So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.

When we give surrender to the truth of Christ we are taking on a sentence of adversity against this world. But we will always overcome that adversity with our faith in the power of the Holy Spirit. The power of resurrection living inside us. Not even death to the body can defeat us because we are alive in Christ.

2 Cor 4v16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

Psalm 61 1 Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer. 2 From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. 3 For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe. 4 I long to dwell in your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.
