Philippians 1v27 Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel 28 without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved—and that by God.

Fixing our eyes on the cross and the sacrifice of Christ needs to be not just a daily but a moment by moment, breath by breath focus. In this way our thought life will be kingdom focused and our actions will follow suit. This is how we testify our great hope by conducting ourselves in a manner foreign to the worlds ups and downs. We have an eternal hope which calls for great joy and praise in all circumstance. So let us not be afraid for the Lord of all has placed His mighty Spirit in us to live a life fully empowered to the truth of Christ.

2 Thessalonians v16 May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, 17 encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.

1 Thessalonians 5v16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Gods will is clear, and if we do these three things then the will of God will be done in our lives. We will be provided for, we will live righteously and live through the Holy Spirit of Christ.

Hebrews 13v5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” 6 So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”

There is no room for fear for God is with us at all times. Never leaving, never forsaking because He lives inside us through the Holy Spirit of Christ. Now fear can overtake when we put our stock in the unstable love of the world because things change and the rocks that we lean on, money, relationships, possessions all turn to dust. But the power and glory of Jesus Christ reigns forever. So we are to ground our worldly rocks in Christ and be content with everything looking to Him for joy and He will be there always.

Acts 1v8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.“

Hebrews 12v1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Christ bore the burden, shed the blood for the race that we run. His death is our life and endurance. For Christ took every temptation yet conquered blameless and pure. Let us strive toward the cross and a life that is enriched by faith in the strength of Christ in us so that we can handle all opposition that sets itself against us.

4 In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.

Hebrews 10v32 Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you endured in a great conflict full of suffering. 33 Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated. 34 You suffered along with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions. 35 So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. 36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.

A kingdom life in eternity.

Isaiah 55v9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. 10 As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, 11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. 12 You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.

Gods word falls on us like rain to a parched desert to grow in us a mighty garden of praise to His name. This is why prayer is so important, why getting into the bible daily is dire. We are thirsty, we are hungry and God wants to provide everything we need through His word.
