2 Timothy 1v7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

Our spirit is power to overcome any obstacle the world will put in our way. Jesus defeated death we can defeat circumstance. Our spirit is love to bring compassion and joy to those in need. Spreading the gospel through action and faith. Our spirit is self controlled to be holy and blameless in testimony to our great God and His savior son Jesus. To desire that is of the Lord.

God dwells in us, and He is not dormant, He is on fire to do things that we could never imagine.

9 He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, 10 but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.

John 15v5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

Apart from the strength, hope, and love of Christ we can do nothing. But with Him our lives are full and overflowing not for our own glory but to quench the needs of others, to change lives for the eternal. Growing a garden of believers in heaven to bring our Father glory and praise.

7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

Isaiah 40v28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. 29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

It is too easy to wake up and go along with our day and forget all that is said in this passage, as if we have not heard. It is vital to just take a second, breathe in and remember that God gave us that breath that sustains our spirit and our body. Our God is too big to ignore, too big to go through our day without giving Him praise and our prayer. And even if we don’t He still loves us and provides. A love undeserving to give us a life so fulfilling.

1 Timothy 4v12 Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.

Paul is speaking to a young church here and I love it. We don’t have to wait to be “grown ups” to be people of God; our time is now. Let our lives be examples and a testimony that God can do great things and in turn spur on our elders. This all to be the city on a hill a light of hope to draw people to Christ. PTL for God is bigger than age, bigger than circumstance, and His powerful spirit dwells in us!

Psalm 94v19 When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.

The Lord is our strength, seek Him for refuge. Nothing else will be suffice. Flesh and blood sacrificed to death then raised to life is Gods testimony of strength and hope to the whole world. Which has been given in the spirit to all who believe. Seek the Lord for true strength and lay in the comforts of faith that God is working you to anew.

I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him. 2 Timothy 1v12

Matthew 13v31 He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. 32 Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.”

Our faith can be minuscule yet our God is immeasurable. We could envision this as a person weak in circumstance prays their first cries out to God, the Lord uses that small moment of surrender to root in them the vast renewal that only Christ can give. Our faith begins with that seed and the Lord will bring people to water it, to cultivate it. As we seek God we begin to grow upwards and stronger as a display of His mercy and glory in us. In time we are strong enough to hold others on our branches. To bring refuge, to plant yet another tiny seed in those seeking comfort; just by being there and offering our strength through the spirit that is Christ.

Our faith can be minuscule but our God is immeasurable.
