1 Timothy 1v15 Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners of whom I am the worst. 16 But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.

Here is hope. God through His son gave us all authority to grasp true life and the eternal. Even the worst of sinners, Paul a man who persecuted the church to lead a person to death because he followed Christ is now writing these words to show how merciful the power of Christ is. Nothing is too far gone for the God who raised the dead, parted the seas and created the earth.

17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

2 Corinthians 4v16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

“An eternal glory that far outweighs them all.” How easy is it to forget that. To lose focus on the fact that Christ enabled us through His blood to a life eternal. The struggles we encounter are momentary compared to the glory of what is to come. PTL!

18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

2 Corinthians 2v10 …I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, 11 in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.

Lack of forgiveness is a major ploy from the evil one to set discord in our lives. To cut deep into our heart and harden them against each other effectively distracting the spirit to love. We are to be aware of this and settle our differences to steer away from the devils schemes and to let Christ’s love prevail.

1 Thessalonians 5v14 And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. 15 Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.

We are to be leaders in Christ as we grow in faith. To love others enough to constructively warn them when they are falling into idleness and then to put our words into actions by investing and building them up. All of this in striving to do the good that Christ did to everyone we encounter. This is love.

1 Thessalonians 4v7 For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. 8 Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit.

Paul lays it out plainly and issues the challenge to live our lives in respect and love to the Holy Spirit given to us from God. Let every aspect of our lives be a reflection of our incredible God, through obedience and reliant faith.

1 Corinthians 15v56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Our lives are worthy of a savior. God the creator of all things cared so much for His people to send His son to gain victory over our sins and to defeat death. Christ gave us worth, a life to be accountable for, to bring glory to the kingdom. So let us give our all to the Lord and His desires for our life, standing strong in faith and spirit. For our lives count for more than just the days spent here on earth but for all eternity.
