Refreshment

Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, (Acts 3:19, 20)

Repentance leads to His presence. His presence yields refreshment from the rigors of this life.

Burdens.

Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved. (Psalm 55:22)

Righteousness comes to us in our faith in Christ making us holy in the eyes of God. Keeping our faith in him and his sacrifice for us we are called to cast our burdens on him and his power in Spirit will keep us strong as we keep our faith. Let us hold tight to the Lord in our weariness and gather the strength of Christ that was given by the Spirit to all who believe. Faith must be our reaction in struggle.

the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: (Romans 3:22)

Wisdom.

And he said to man, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to turn away from evil is understanding.’“ (Job 28:28)

Let us keep this perspective to humble ourselves to the fear of the Lord knowing He is almighty that He holds it all, in that truth we find wisdom for this life; and obedience in fleeing from evil gives light to understanding who our Father is and His best intentions for us.

Take heart in prayer.

Luke 18v1-7
And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart. He said, “In a certain city there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected man. And there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, ‘Give me justice against my adversary.’ For a while he refused, but afterward he said to himself, 'Though I neither fear God nor respect man, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will give her justice, so that she will not beat me down by her continual coming.’” And the Lord said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge says. And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them? I tell you, he will give justice to them speedily.

Let us take heart for if an unrighteous judge will listen to the cries of a woman how much more will God hear our cries our prayers. We can’t give up on our prayers we just need to trust more in His power and timing when things aren’t going according to our plan. Let us keep kingdom perspective and continually praying for the Lord our God is listening.

"But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” (2 Peter 3:8)

Help.

I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. (Psalm 121:1, 2 ESV)

When we take this perspective that our help is solely from the God who created the universe, who put the sun in the sky and the oceans on earth, what can we not accomplish? There is no greater hope found than in our God.

The little things.

Luke 16v10
“One who is faithful in very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in very little is also dishonest in much.

We must honor all responsibilities we are given especially the little ones. Our commitment and faith in the little things such as friendships, school, or work speak volumes to our walk with God. If we are faithful in the little things God will trust us with even more of His blessings.
