Hard times call for higher hope

1 Corinthians 10v13
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

“God is faithful.” We place our faith in the faithfulness of God; which does not waiver and does not fail. So when we face trials we know our prayers are being heard and our God is working a solution for His glory and to our benefit in seeing more of Him in the power of His deliverance. He will never give us too much to bare but enough for us to rely on Him for a mighty solution.

James 1v2
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

1 Corinthians 3v16
Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.

1 Corinthians 2v9
But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”

Take a moment today to stop and meditate on these two verses. Let us gain that kingdom perspective and open our eyes to the glory and love that is our God. He has more in store than we can ever imagine in this life and the next. All He wants is our faith and love which He deserves.

The Verse

Romans 14v23
…For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin.

Anxiety, worry, and fear are all symptoms of wavering faith in the God who created this earth. When we lose our faith in God we wonder the desert searching for answers that we think we can make happen, but the truth is He has the answers, He parts the waters, He delivers. Believing we can do it on our own, praising ourselves as if we are the provider is as Paul plainly puts it here, is sin. So let us trust in patience, love, and prayer that His plan is bigger and better than ours.

Romans 13v8
Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. 9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Love is absolutely crucial in our daily walk with the Lord. Let this word remind us today that love is always the answer and it is always what God wants for us and from us.
