Philippians 4v4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Our worry is defeated as we place it in the hands of the Lord. There is no need for anxiousness when we have a mighty God who provides. He will layer our minds with the peace that comes from the truth in His word. This is the battlefield of faith, truly believing God will take care of it all.

8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

The shield for spiritual warfare of the mind.

Philippians 3v7 But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. 8 What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.

His love is worth our loss. His love surpasses any worldly gain we can accrue. His hope in a kingdom of eternal life rises above all things. Faith is built when we give it all up and turn to Jesus to provide. In our obedience and surrender He delivers more than we ever could have imagined. All this to build a testimony to righteousness for the world to see His glory.

13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 2v1 Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.

Philippians 1v9 And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, 10 so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.

Amen. This is why being in the word and having a hunger for it is so important. The bible is a recipe for the life of righteousness. Knowledge, depth and insight comes from the Lord above and all of that is found in His good word.

Ephesians 6v13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

We are in a fight, every day of our lives. Pursued by the devil in all forms and fashions of flaming arrows. Grow in thought and awareness to that and wear this armor to be a soldier of truth that fights for the savior that fought for us. If Jesus gave it all to the point of death stretched out on a cross fighting for us why would we not take up his armor and give it our all for him?

Ephesians 5v15 Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.

Our days are numbered and tomorrow isn’t guaranteed, so we must live a focused life for our God to the fullest today and every day putting aside our own selfish desires and be obedient to the Lords will. Especially when it comes at a cost for that is the factory of faith and testimony.
