2 Timothy 3v16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for teaching for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

Reproof, correction, or constructive criticism is sometimes a hard pill to swallow but as we see, biblical reproof is a catalyst to build up, not to tear down. To strengthen our walk, our light, and our faith. I am incredibly thankful for this. It’s hard getting passed that initial blow to the pride but the lesson learned immensely outweighs the possibility of walking blind to a fault that could be damaging to ourselves and others.

James 2v17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

It’s more than just believing, it’s doing. This is a plea to the next generations to get involved to take the faith found in Christ and act upon it. It’s easy to put ourselves in a bubble of believing but I beg of you to get uncomfortable, place yourself somewhere where faith isn’t a safety cushion but something you desperately rely on.

Move a mountain.

Ephesians 3v12 In him (Christ) and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.

Today I began to think about what prayer is. What does it reveal about us? Prayer is the ultimate surrender. To realize we do not have the control, that we rely on our relationship with our maker, our father, our God. It just hit me how beautiful that is, and how we can do it all with confidence because of His son Jesus Christ. We can reach our God wherever we are, not just in a temple, God is with us, in us; we are the temple. Couple that with the power of the Holy spirit, and it’s unfathomable what can be revealed through prayer.

2 Corinthians 3v16 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?

John 13v34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Jesus says this after serving and washing the feet of His disciples. Showing that serving one another is the foundation of love. The most famous man in all the world was a loving servant and he makes it a point to tell us to be the same way so that the world will know we are of Him and not of this world.

Our first reaction to anything should always be of love.

2 Corinthians 4v10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 11 For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body. 12 So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.

The spirit and life of Christ is in us, the same Christ that performed miracles, spoke wisdom to the masses, and gave hope to the nations. I plead for us not to undersell this truth. Our lives are not futile we are here so that Christ’s life be revealed through ours, showing evidence of our hope, and bringing the kingdom to earth. Making Christ famous.
